Als Gesicht von AVI SPL bei unserem Kunden interagiert der AV-Engineer täglich mit dem Kunden und fungiert als Erweiterung des Teams und zentraler Ansprechpartner.

Zu den Aufgaben gehören in der Regel der Betrieb und die Funktionsprüfung aller AV- und integrierten Konferenzraumkomponenten und -ausrüstungen.

Die Ingenieure arbeitet mit dem Managementteam des Kunden zusammen, um dessen Ausrüstung und Benutzergemeinschaft zu unterstützen.

Diese Position ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Gesamtbeziehung zwischen AVI-SPL und dem Kunden und stellt sicher, dass die Bedürfnisse des Kunden vorrangig behandelt und die Wartungsziele erfüllt werden.

Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und ein gutes Verständnis für AV-Systeme und -Technologie wird vorausgesetzt.

Erforderlich sind fließende Deutschkenntnisse und gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Aufgaben

• Conference room management and technical set-up: Set up and tear down conference rooms according to client requirements, set up and troubleshoot audio/video systems, perform meeting support and assist with video/audio recordings.
• Technical maintenance and servicing: carrying out preventative maintenance such as testing and repairing cables and hardware components, ensuring full functionality of AV equipment such as camera lenses, monitors and fans.
• Programming and control systems: On-site installation, support and minor modifications to control programs (AMX, Crestron, etc.).
• Network and system support: On-site support for networked devices (e.g. routers, IP protocols), installation and configuration of various devices.
• Documentation and training: Responsible for creating site documentation, conducting customer training as required.
• Teamwork, Security and Mobility: Working with internal and external teams in a professional manner, adhering to local security standards.

Fähigkeiten

• Communication and teamwork skills: Very good knowledge of German, good knowledge of English, efficient communication with employees, customers and colleagues, ability to work independently, take responsibility and meet deadlines.
• Technical know-how and tool competence: Safe and efficient handling of hand and power tools, ability to solder and crimp plug connections.
• Project and self-management: Management of small to medium-sized projects, ability to work independently and manage time well.
• Basic IT and programming skills: Basic computer skills, Basic programming skills (AMX/Crestron) for modifications and troubleshooting.
• AV technology and signal flow understanding: Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control systems.
• Mobility and legal requirements: Valid driver's license, work permit for Germany.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Onsite AV Engineer provides support and management of fully integrated conference rooms, excluding large complex environments such as auditoriums. The Engineer interfaces daily with the customer and acts as an extension of their team. Their responsibilities generally include the operation and functional testing of all AV and integrated conference room components/equipment. The Engineer works in cooperation with the customer’s management team in support of their equipment and user community.

This position is a key part of the overall relationship between AVI-SPL and the customer, ensuring the needs of the client are prioritised and maintenance goals are met. The successful candidate will also be required to provide remote triage support to hands and eyes dedicated resources within each of their respective regions. As such would need to possess good communication skills and have and have a good understanding of AV systems and technology.

Required languages are fluency in German and good written and oral English skills.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills (Desirable):

• Tier 2/3 AV troubleshooting of AV spaces
• Maintaining all regional ticket queues in the customer ITSM system for respective region.
• FLUENT German Mandatory
• Experience in supporting end users in a Cisco Webex/Microsoft Teams/Poly (formerly Polycom)/Logitech MTR environment
• Exceptional customer service mentality and attitude, taking pride in offering a best-in-class service while working with all levels of seniority.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and teach new technologies.
• Ability to train highly technical participants while balancing the needs of less technical attendees.
• Being able to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Willing to undertake further training and examinations to improve their technical knowledge where applicable.

Preferred Skills

• Be proficient in the use of ServiceNow or other ITSM Tools.
• Experience of supporting Cisco and Logitech VC Endpoints would be a positive
• Tier 2/3 troubleshooting of AV Endpoints.
• Excellent customer service skills with previous experience of dealing with ‘ALL’ level executives advantageous.
• Provide accurate reporting when required to AVI-SPL CSD and CC Delivery Leads
• Flexibility as some Travel will be required to Spoke Locations within a 10 minute walking distance of Hub Location

Working Hours

• The role is a 40-hour week Monday to Friday.
• Flexible hours may be required to provide cover. Working hours are subject to change to meet future requirements.
