WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Manager of Procurement & Supply Chain Management at AVI-SPL is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement and supply chain activities within a designated region. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics coordination to ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products and services. The Manager will lead a team, drive process improvements, cost effectiveness, sustainable growth and align regional operations with the company's overall supply chain strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Drive the development and execution of regional procurement strategies, focusing on cost reduction, supplier negotiations, and timely, high-quality sourcing of goods and services.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Lead cross-functional efforts to streamline logistics, distribution, and procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration: Align supply chain activities with business priorities through close collaboration with internal departments and build strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full customs, trade, and regulatory compliance for import/export operations, including accurate HS Code classification and documentation, while enhancing supply chain transparency and risk mitigation.
- Team Development & Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing, global supply chain team, promoting continuous improvement, accountability, and a culture of operational excellence.
- Innovation & Market Insight: Implement best practices and innovative technologies, and monitor market trends to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and competitive advantage.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop data models, analyze complex financial/operational data, and solve problems in a structured manner.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; skilled at maintaining constructive relationships across all organizational levels and managing conflict diplomatically.
- Time Management & Adaptability: Highly organized with strong time management skills; capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to leverage them for data analysis and reporting.
- Independent Drive & Accountability: Initiative-taking and detail-oriented professional who can work independently, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy and efficiency in all responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field required. MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain is preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, Continuous Improvement preferred.
- 5 years in a strategic sourcing and procurement background, including international Customs and Trade Compliance.
- 3-5 years experience leading people.
- Experience in a global and/or complex matrix business environment is desirable.
- Robust experience developing and implementing business processes and streamlining operations.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution, including diligence, acquisition, and integration.
- Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications.
