Long Description

 

Job Summary

 

  • Perform equipment rack fabrication and wiring, and systems installation activities at customer sites and company offices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Solder and crimp connectors where needed
  • Construct equipment racks and perform metalwork fabrication where required
  • Load equipment rack as per layout drawing and wire per system schematic
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Troubleshoot fabrication issues when requested by client or office
  • Assist with and perform installation tasks. Duties may include but are not limited to: Pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication

  • Ability to test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills

 

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of AV practice and fabrication techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of installing connectors, projector mounting/hanging, metal fabrication is preferred
  • Valid ECS/CSCS card
  • InfoComm CTS qualification
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
