Long Description

The Marketing Specialist plays an exciting and pivotal role in growing AVI-SPL's business in Germany.

This position works closely with the global Senior Marketing Manager, International, the Managing Director in Germany, and colleagues from the U.S., Germany, and around the world to support the implementation of the overall AVI-SPL global marketing standards and campaigns for the German market.

The role also leads the development and execution of local demand generation campaigns to grow the sales pipeline and help win business.

The ideal candidate has a passion for elevating brand awareness and collaborating with sales to help them connect with customers.

As the marketing leader in a distinct global market, this candidate is also an innovative thinker and works well independently to manage multiple marketing projects.

This role is part of the global marketing department and a key member of our German team.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Marketing Campaign Management: Plan, create, localize, and execute marketing campaigns and activities tailored to the German market while aligning with global strategies and initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop annual marketing plans that support both local and global objectives, ensuring consistency across internal and external communications.
  • Content Creation & Brand Management: Create, adapt, and promote marketing content, sales tools, and end-user messaging across multiple channels, while maintaining brand standards and positioning.
  • Event & Conference Management: Plan and execute events and industry conference participation, including audience targeting, logistics, on-site activities, and measuring ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams, corporate marketing, and partner vendors to provide marketing materials, manage campaigns, and support co-marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting & Optimization: Track marketing performance, manage campaign data, report results to stakeholders, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

You have a passion for marketing and demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns in a B2B environment. You understand the technology sector, ask insightful questions, challenge thinking, are approachable and proactive, and seize opportunities as they arise. 

  • Extensive Marketing Experience: 5–7 years of marketing experience, ideally within a technology brand and across multiple markets, with a proven track record in developing strategies and delivering successful results.
  • Strategic, Operational & Financial Expertise: Proven ability to create effective marketing plans, manage budgets, report on ROI, and deliver against objectives while aligning with overall business goals.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously, including experience working within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Comprehensive Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of key marketing disciplines, including corporate communications, demand generation, website management, event marketing, email campaigns, and social media strategies.
  • Technical & Creative Skills: Proficiency with tools such as WordPress, LinkedIn, HubSpot, and Asana, alongside basic graphic design skills using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator preferred).
  • Communication & Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication abilities, strong collaboration skills, and fluency in both German and English; Spanish is an advantage.

This position will be based in our Frankfurt office, reporting to the office four days per week and working remotely one day per week. Work hours may vary depending on meeting times with global colleagues.
